Developing a Successful Irrigation Service Business

Rick Arena, SiteOne
Many irrigation contractors would love to shift their business focus away from installation to the highly profitable world of service, but just don't seem to be able to make that move. Many questions and doubts about finding the right people, training them, managing them, and retaining them create mental roadblocks that stifle that dream. We will explore ways around these obstacles that other companies have used to develop successful and profitable irrigation service businesses.

Managing and Working in a Multigenerational Workplace

The modern reality is, however, most companies have a multigenerational workforce. This one hour course explores the characteristics and motivations of the Baby Boomer, X-Gen, Y-Gen, and Millennial workforce and the techniques to manage them for success.

About the Irrigation E3 Program

The Irrigation Foundation has created a new program, Irrigation E3, which supports students and teachers involved in irrigation through exposure, experience and education. Students are nominated by their academic instructors to become Irrigation E3 Learners. A selection committee will choose a minimum of eight students who will receive all expenses-paid-trips to the Irrigation Show & Education Conference where they will participate in education classes, industry sessions and networking events.
