Why Join Carolinas Irrigation Association?

As the irrigation industry continues to grow and are now faced with North Carolina licensure regulations, we are faced with a more complex business environment in which to operate.  The NC licensure law mandates continuing education for the contractor.  CIA offers:

  • Continuing education opportunities across North and South Carolina at a discount to members.
    •  Don’t forget – South Carolina contractors are required to be licensed by NC if you do work in North Carolina!
  • Administrative services as a point of information for the contractor.
  • Networking opportunities through education and meetings.
  • A liaison for members with the North Carolina Irrigation Contractors Registration Board.
  • A group of experienced, well-established irrigation contractors to serve as your Board of Directors that are available to you for information and guidance
  • E-News, the electronic newsletter of the Carolina Irrigation Association.  This new method of timely disseminating information to members and allied members pertinent information to safely and professionally understand the continuing changes in our business.
  • A Membership Certificate to proudly display in your office and include in your bid packages.  A CIA Seal is also available to display on your vehicles allowing the public to identify you as a professional.


    • With the ever present reminder of water conservation, environmental concerns, and state and municipal regulations across both states, YOU MUST BE PREPARED for continuous changes. With these changes, we, as an industry, must adapt and provide active leadership and current information available.     National Affiliation 
    The CIA is a member in good standing with The Irrigation Association, the national association for irrigation contractors. CIA endorses the certification programs offered through The Irrigation Association and encourages members to acquire certification.  All certification program information links are available on the Education tab in this website.
